REGULAR MEETING OF JUNE 12, 1963
The regular meeting Was called tc> order at 7:~ P.M, with the fo11oR3.ng m®mbers
being present: Harold Nilsen, Mayor; George Shavor, Trustee; ~P. A. Mort~son~
Clerk, ?Tillie ~arkenti.en, Trustee. Also present Were Brad Lemberg, Engineer,
Attorney Mike Galvin, ~311iam E. Olsen, Treasurer; and Tina Vavoulis, Deputy
Clerk. Absent: Charles P. Stone, Trusts®,
Mrs. Peter Torviek Was present as a representative of the League of t~omen
Gofers of Falcon Heigk~ts.
Motion made by Shavor, seconded by Mortensen to accept the minutes of the
special meeting of June 3, 1963. All ayes.

present. He explained his radar equipment to the

Bacon could give a demonstration from his automobile.
Maintenance Mau: Ren Quern was present and discussion was held re-
garding last Saturdays Windstorm and the brush and
fallen trees that resulted from it. The Council
instructed him to talk with someone at the Forestry
Department or others who are acquainted with the
problems that arise after storms, sash as - is it
considered ~ emergency and should the Firs Departr-
ment be called in immediately to clear debris?

It eras agreed that some specific procedures should
be outlined. It was also agreed that Mr. Quarn
should be called first ion case of any future
emergency resulting from hail, storms, etc.
Engineer Lemberg Ras requested to draw up a set of
rules. regarding procedures to take and the labor
force to handle work necessary after storms etc.
Motion made by Mortenson, seconded by Warkentien
that the salary of Ken Quarri be raised from ~1i75.E)0

next payroll period.

Jansen Brothers Jansen Brothers real estate has been assessed for

did not pay for the number of feet in survey, but
for the number of feet involved, They have been

send letter to Jansen Brothers and indicate to them
that the improvement to their real estate was of
real value, and if their attorneys want to take it
up and have it abated for the ~56,0o involved, the
cost would be prohibitive.

Attorney Galvin will contact Lido's to determine what the
or-ners have in mind insofar as this application is concerned.
It was recommended that the Village purchase these
Statutes of 1963 at a cost of $17.00 for our reference.

Storage Binders: Shavor moved, seconded by Wark~intien to authorize the

Ben Kuefler Moved by Nilsen, seconded by Shavor to hire Mr. Ben
Employment: Kuefler on a part time basis for the purpose of keeping
of village accounts. Carried.
