Planning Commission Meeting Workshop

The meeting was called to order at 7:00 PM.

C. APPROVAL OF MINUTES:
January 25th, 2022 minutes approved with minor corrections by consent
April 26th, 2022 minutes approved by consent
D. PUBLIC HEARING
1. None
E. NEW BUSINESS
1. Welcome and Introduction with new City Administrator Jack Linehan
2. Discussion – Vacant Property Registration
Staff Liaison Moretto reviewed history of the ordinance development and focus
on registration as a service to city residents.
Commission agreed that the ordinance is ready to move forward and discussed
timing for public hearing. General agreement that a public hearing should be
held as soon as the next meeting, after which a recommendation could be made
to move to the City Council for vote.
Gerich asked about communication to public about the purpose of the
ordinance. Moretto mentioned the weekly and fall/spring newsletters, in addition
to the new resident flyers as example of some communication tools that will be
used. The goal is to inform the public of the intent of the ordinance as a service
to residents.
F. ANNOUNCEMENTS
1. Staff Liason Report
The Amber Union project is still on schedule for mid-fall completion. In the next
session, a website should be available for more information about applications
for residency.

None as Council Member Wehyee not in attendance
