HomeMy WebLinkAboutCCMin_66Aug3_Specialr 1 1 21~.i.5 SPECIAL P.~EETING HELD AUGUST 3, 1966 Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a special meeting of the Village Council of the Village of Falcon Heights was duly cal led and held at the Council Rooms in said Village on August 3, 1966 at 5:30 O~Gloek P.M. The fallowing members were present: Nilsen, V~darkentien and Strandquist and the following were absent: Stone and Black, Also present was Attorney ~I, Galvin. Resolution Accepting The following resolution was introduced by ~~iayor Bids on Street Repair Nilsen who moved its adoption: N.~. Area Storm Sewer Project Imp. 65-1 and ti~IHEREA5, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for 1966 Village Street the repair of streets in the Northeast Area Storm Sewer Ielaintenance and Seal Project and Village Street T~Iaintenance and Seal Coat Coat Project: Project for 1966, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law, and the following bids were received complying with the advertisements (a) Ray Sina. Contracting Co,, Inc. X13,900 (b) Pennig Construction Co. 15 790 s (e) Northern Asphalt Construction Co. 18,552 (d) Bituminous Roadways, Inc. 20,753 ANL~ WHEREAS, it appears that Ray Sina Contracting Company, Inc. is the lowest responsible bidder, N0~~7, THEREFORE, BE TT RESOLVED BY THT VILLAGE COUNCIL OF FALCON HEIGHTS, ~~INNESOTA: 1. The P~Rayor and Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter into the attached contract with Ray Sina Contracting Company, Inc. in the name of the Village of Falcon Heights for the aforesaid improvement according to the plans and specifications therefor approved by the Village Council and on file in the office of the Village Clerk. 2. The Village Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposit of the successful bidder and. the next lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed. The motion fvr the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Warkentien and upon a vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Nilsen, Warkentien and Strandquist and the following voted against same: None. Whereupon said resolution was duly declared passed and adopted this 3rd day of August 1966. Northome Shopping Nilsen moved, seconded by Strandquist that the W, F. Center Parking Lot: Stepnitz Agency be contacted by letter from the Village Attorney in answer to its letter of August 2, 1966 regarding the parking lot of the Northome Shopping 2lt16 Center. Said letter is to state in part that proposal for surfacing or dust coating the existing parking lot is to be submitted to the Village Council at its next meeting August 10, 1966, Ayes: All.
