APPROVAL OF AGENDA D. APPROVAL OF MINUTES 1. April 10, 2023 Commissioner Christiansen made a motion to approve the minutes from April 10, 2023. Minutes were approved by consent. E. AGENDA 1. Xcel Energy – Partners in Energy Program Staff Liaison Lynch shared the presentation from Xcel that will be shown to City Council on May 10, 2023 and invited the Environment Commission to attend. The Commission discussed questions to ask after the presentation and potentially setting up a booth at the Ice Cream Social in July for program information. 2. EV Smart Certification Program Updates Staff Liaison Lynch gave an overview of the EV Smart Certification Program. She explained she met with representatives from the program and developed priorities for the City. There are three certification levels – bronze, silver, and gold. Currently the City of Falcon Heights is on tract for a bronze certification, however silver may be attainable as well. F. Information and Announcements 1. Staff Liaison Report Liaison Lynch reminded the Commission about the Spring Together event scheduled for May 20, 2023 from 4-6 PM at Curtiss Field. Chair Mercer-Taylor offered to bring the Climate Chaser vehicle as a display in the parking lot. The Commission also discussed additional games to have at the table. The Commission also discussed the possibility of a Ride and Drive event at the Ice Cream Social in July and talking about watershed grants and opportunities at a future meeting. 2.
