Regular Meeting of ~:farch 23, 1967
The regular meeting was called to order with the following members present:
• 1'dayor Nilsen, Clerk Strandquist, Councilmen Warkentien, Stone and Black.
Also present were Treasurer Olsen, Attorney Galvin and Engineer Lemberg.

meeting of jiarch 9, 1967 be approved. Ayes: All, Nays:

Correspondences
R. Blomberg Letter from Robert Blomberg, 1579 Hamline Avenue requested
Sidewalk: Council to obtain estimates for replacement of sidewalk
in front of his building and also the sixty feet on the
Iowa Avenue side of building. It is understood that Mr.
Blomberg_is to malce his own agreement with contractor after
such estimate is made.
Young Republican William G. Paterson, Young Republican Club 49th District
Club: Chairman, expressed thanks for use of village hall.
County Engineer_ County Engineer Dean R. Anklan's letter of March 21, which

Notice to County Notice from Minn. Highway Department Construction Districts
and hunicipal 5 and 9 addressed to County and Municipal Engineers and
Engineers Officials Interested in Traffic Operations stated that
Highway Department is scheduling traffic seminars throughout

Lemberg be authorized by the village council to attend such

Garage Doors: be authorized to order printing of no tires regarding
garage doors left open at night. Notices shall be
passed to residents by Ramsey County Deputy,Sheriffs.
Solicitors in Ramsey County Deputy Rentz was present to state that
Villages the Sheriffts Department has today received many calls
regarding solicitors presently working in this village..
Attorney was instructed to obtain information regarding
licensing and bonding for solicitors and report to the

Reservation for Representatives of District l~9B Democratic Party has
Village Hall: requested use of-the Village Hall for a meeting to be
held on Monday April 10, 1967. at 7;30 P.M. Strandquist
moved, seconded.by Black that request for same be granted.

Falcon Oil Go. Clerk was requested to advise Falcon Oil Company
1350 West Larpenteurs 1350 Nest Larpenteur that complaints have been
received regarding burning of oily rags and other
refuse such as oil cans, etc., and general untidy
condition around the burning can. It appears that
same is in violation of Ordinance-No. 20 which. is
Ordinance Defining Nuisances.

Lemberg reviewed plans and layout of access road from
Larpenteur to Hoyt Avenue as prepared by engineers for
State Fair Board.
Letter from Lemberg dated March 15, 1967 was confirmation
of verbal report given at council meeting of March 9,
concerning feasibility and cost estimates to construct
watermain on Hamline Avenue and on Sheldon Avenue, to
construct sanitary sever on Sheldon Avenue and completely
construct Sheldon Avenue in proposed Klatt 2nd Addition.
Fire Department Stone moved, seconded by Warkentien that the Fire Dept.
Requisition: be authorized to make purchases as specified on purchase
requisition dated March 20, 1967. Ayes: All.. Nays:
None. R~otion was carried.
Trees: Stone moved, seconded by War~sentien that the Council
approve the agreement dated March 23, 1967 between
Northland Tree Service and the Village of Falcon Heights
for work within. the village, and that the ~trgayor and Clerk
be authorized to sign said agreement on behalf of the
Village of Falcon Heights. Ayes: A11. Nays; None,
Motion was carried..
Dutch Elm Stone moved, seconded by Strandquist that brochure issued
Disease: by the Minn. Department of Agriculture, Circular No. 529
concerning Elm Trees, accompanied by letter from the
village council be mailed first class to each homeowner
in the village. Ayes: All. Nays: None. Motion was
carried.

Purchases made Clerk was instructed to post notice that village employees
by Employees: or fire department volunteers must discontinue practice of
making personal purchases in the name of the Village of
Falcon Heights.
Hamline Avenue Clerk was instructed to address letter to St. Paul Water
Yiater 2~gain: Department in reference to watermain oi~ Hamline Avenue
between Larpenteur Avenue and Garden Avenue.
Dogss Art Lindig was present to state that inasmuch as dogs are
not allowed to run loose at arty time during the year
registration of dogs should be discontinued.
