REGULAR R+lEETING OF MAY 25,, 1.967
The regular meeting was called to order at 7x00 P.M. with -Ehe following
members presents Mayor Nilsen, Clerk Strandquist, Councilmen Stoney Black
and Warkentien. Also present-.were Engineer Lemberg and Treasurer Olsen.
Minutest Strandquist moved, seconded by Nilsen that the minutes of
the meeting of 'May 11~ 1967 be approved. Agest AL1.. Naysa
None. Motion was carried.
Correspondences
Iowa National Letter dated May 19, 1967 from Iowa National Mutual Insuran ce
Mutual Ins. Company regarding final notice from St. Lukens Hospital as
-Res Owen addressed to Owen Harmer, stated that the physical therapy
Harmer Accidents for Harmers back injury is something The Iowa National
should assume' but objection to paying for treatment of
pneumonia is raised. Clerk was instructed to send copy
of said letter to the hospital.
Bethel College Letter from Bethel College was received and is in answer
Apartment Hl.dg.= to C1erk~s letter regarding barrier behind the apartment
at 1tG66 West Larpenteur Avenue.
Moving of Cross- ~Strandquist moved seconded by Black that authorization be
Walk Flasher on given the Collins Electrical Construction Company to move
Larpenteur Ave.s two wood poles and two flashing amber lights from the present
location (crosswalk at 15l~8 W. Larpenteur Avenue) to new
location just west of the village hall (1670 Sd. Larpenteur
Avenue) at a project cost for the completed job o~ X535.00.

Claim for Damage William K. Schultz, D.D.S. submitted bill from Hewins
by Snow Plow Greenhouses for replacement of sod and taro pine. trees
W.K. Schultz damaged by snow plow last winter. Clerk was instructed to
1630 Hollywood write Dr. Schultz that the Village of Falcon Heights has no
Courts liability in this claim inasmuch as the Village has never dir-
ected nor authorized Ramsey County to plow arty alleys in the
Village.
Summer Recreation Dick DeSchriver, summer°recreation program dixector~ was
Programs present. After discussion, Warkentien moved, seconded by
Black that the Village Council authorize an expenditure of
X2,250.00 for the 1967 Summer Recreation Program. Included
in said sum_are X1900 for salaries of two full time men and
one young lady 1/2 time, also X350.00 for supplies. Program
shall be conducted for eight weeks from June 12 to August ~.
at the Falcon Heights Elementary School and the West Falcon
Woods Playgrounds daily from 10x30 a.m. to l~t00 p.m. Ayes;
All. Naysa None. Motion was carried.
Northeast Water Attorney Kyles letter of h+Iay 18, 1967 enclosed copy of
Ruin Improvement Easement from. Nicholas J. Pothen granting perpetual easement
1:967 Pothen _ for construction, maintenance and operation of watermain over,
Easement: upon, across and under tract of land as described in said
easement.

Lindig Third Letter of May 11, 1967 from H. J. Goldberg, Secretary of
Addition: Plat Commission of Ramsey County submitted print of
proposed platting of Lindig Third Addition and requested
information as to action taken by Village Council on same.
Art`Lindig submitted final plat of Lindig Addition No. 3
to the Village Council for approval.. ~t was noted that
easement requirement, which was indicated at council
meeting of August 10, 1966, has not been met, and no
reference to said easement has been made. Lindig will
be notified that it is necessary to submit a plat showing
a five foot easement running from the northeast corner
westerly to five feet west of the back lot line of the
French-Bianchi property line intersection.
Village Hall Lemberg presented report of passible lighting of parking
Parking Lot l.ot immediately adjacent to village hall.

Fire Department Albert Levine, owner of apartment building at 1510 ,Test
Inspection - Larpenteur Avenue has been notified regarding fire
Irregularities inspection which revealed that the fire door on furnace
at 1510 West does not close properly. Subsequent inspections have
Larpenteur Ave.t been made and reports show that the unsatisfactory
condition of fire door still exists. Stone moved
seconded. by Strandquist that this. matter be referred
to the village attorney for determination of further
action. Ayes: All. Nays: None. Motion was carried.
Tennis Courts: There was discussion concerning possible tennis court
P sites. Possibilities mentioned were the Falcon Heights
Elementary School property, Falcon Heights Congregational
Ghurch property north of Garden between Pascal and Holton,
and property managed by Stepnitz Agency behind the
Northhome Shopping Center.
Investments: Warkentien moved, seconded by Black that the V3.l.lage Council
authorize the Village Treasurer to invest in government
securities an amount up to X27,135.06 from the Northeast
Area Storm Sewer Improvement Sinking Fund. Ayes: All.
Nayss None. Motion was carried.
Bills; Strandquist moved, secondedrby Stone and duly carried that
the following bills be paid.
