Also present were Engineer Lemberg, and Treasurer Olsen. Attorney Kyle was absent. Minutes: Black moved, seconded by Warkentien that the minutes of the meeting of October 11, 1967 be approved. Ayes: All. .Nays: None. Motion was carried. Warkentien moved, seconded by Black that the minutes of the meeting of October 26, 1967 be approved as corrected. Ayes: All. Nays: None. Motion was carried. Correspondences V. Jacobson Letter dated November 4 from Vicky Jacobson, 1703 St. Mary's '~ 1703 St. Mary's: Street expressed thanks to the council for action taken ' I with respect to the parking problem on St. Mary's Street. E. R. Welhaven Letter dated November 1967 from E. R, Welhaven, County County Assessors Assessor enclosed tabulations showing County~s assessed values and comparison with County Auditors assessed values as of 1966. I Northern States Letter dated November 2, 1967 from E. V. Bergstrom advised ~' Power: in part that Ron Vannelli has assumed responsibilities as Supervisor of St. Paul Municipal Services Department. Sanitary Sewer Discussion was held regarding sewer rental charges and Rental Rates Engineer Lemberg's letter of October 25, 1967 and Report ~, Charges: on Proposed Sanitary Sewer Rate Charges prepared by Richard Turner of Bonestroo, Rosene, Anderlik and Associates. Nilsen moved seconded by Warkentien that Village Engineer and Village Attorney be instructed to proceed with the completion of the negotiations to provide for the signing o f agreement between Saint Paul and the Village of Falcon Heigh on sewer rental. Further moved that Village Engineer and Attorney be instructed to start preparation of necessary ordinance to complement the contract and agreement. Ayess All. Nays: None. Motion was carried. John Webster ~ John Webster, 1618 Hollywood Court, was present and inquired ~' Hollywood Court: as to any further action Council has taken regarding service drive into Hollywood Court. Falcon Heights Fire Letter dated October 30, 1967 from Henry Dachtera, Secretary Department Relief of the Falcon Heights Fire Department Relief Association Association - stated that motion was approved that the Association was in Pension Benefits: favor of increasing all the pension benefits in accordance with recent legislation change, except the cash settlement portion of the bill. Association wishes to reserve the right to possible amendment of the by-laws at a future date to include some form of cash settlement pending the outcome of an actuarial report. Black moved, seconded by Strandquist that this letter be referred to Village Attorney. Ayes: All. Nays: None. Motion was carried. 2638 Election Judges Annual Village Elections Strandquist moved, seconded by Nilsen that the following persons be appointed election judges for the annual village election to be held December 5, 1967• Precinct No. 1 Mrs. Gordon Martin Mrs. Jean Ohman Mrs. James Jaros Precinct No. 2 Mrs. Rhodie Arndt Mrs. Rose Schmall Mrs. Maurice Rice Precinct No. 3 Mrs. Gladys MacKnight Mrs. Odney Steinkraus Mrs. Grace Kroeger Precinct No. !~ Mrs. Geraldine Jenkins Mrs. Billie Parham Mrs. Shirley Amundson Council unanimously approved same. Master Gas Installer Having met the requirements, it was moved by Strandquist, Licenser seconded by Stone that Raymond E. Olson of Fleming Sheet Metal Company, 3525 Raleigh Avenue South, Saint Louis Park, Minnesota be granted Master Gas Installer's License. Ayes: All. Nays: None. Motion was carried. Lock changer Strandquist 'advised the lock leading to ante-room adjacent to clerk's office will be changed. Justices of the Peace and Fire Department will be furnished with a key. Tax Levy for P.E.R.A.s Letter to County Auditor signed by Attorney Kyle under date of November 6 stated that ~l~,507.36 the mount levied by the Village, is 125% of the amount reasonably estimated as necessary to pay employer contributions for the year ending June 30, 1968. Invoices for PERA covering the 1966-67 levy will be paid by the village during the coming year from current excess village funds and no tax levy has been made. _ Candidate's Meeting: Strandquist moved, seconded by Blaclc that the League of Women Voter's request to hold Candidate's Meeting on Tuesday, November ~, 196' in the Vi11a ge Ha11 be granted. Ayes: A11. Nays: None. Motion was carried. American National Warkentien moved, seconded by Stone that village council Bank adapt resolution authorizing American National Bank to ESCRoNT Account take its escrow payment out of the escrow funds ESC 2156, 2156s and the Village Attorney~is hereby instructed to~draft a form of resolution to meet all necessary statuteiry requirememts+ _ :. _, . - ~ ;; ~ Ayes : All. Fence Variance Black moved, seconded by Stone that the Village Clerk be 191It Holton: instructed to write to Hubert Owens, 191l~ Holton pointing out that violation to ordinance exist as far as the fence he has installed is .concerned. 1 ~~ 1 1 i~ 1 2639 Law Enforcement Warkentien moved, seconded by Strandquist that Agreement: Attorney Kyle prepare Agreement for Law Enforc ement Services between Ramsey County Sheriff and the Village of Falcon Heights, commencing January 1, 1968. Said Agreement is to be executed by the Village Off icers and copy forwarded to Ramsey County. Ayes: All. Nayss None. Motion was carried.
