Nilsen, Mayor; George Shavor, Trustee; Paul Coppini, Trustee and 4Vm. R. Utecht, Glerk. Also present were ism. E. Olsen, Treasurer and Ethel E. i"~hite, Deputy Clerk and Deputy Treasurer. Absent: Frank N. Graham, Village Attorney and Willis V~tarkentien, Trustee. Election Clerk Utecht read the tabulated summary of the November Itth General Election. Plumber's All requirements having been met, it was moved by Utecht, seconded License. by Nilsen and unanimously voted to issue Master Plumber's License #28 to Clarence Deeb, dba Roseville Plumbing, X19 ~~. Highway 36, St. Paul, 17, Minnesota. Civil Letter from the Civil Defense Department to Willis ~b'arkentien Defense authorizing the Village to purchase surplus equipment for Village Surplus Use was read. Utecht advised he had checked this matter through Equipment' and finds it is permissable for the Village to purchase items needed for Fire Department Use; the Village to pay for them and the Fire Department to reimburse the Village. The Deputy Clerk was instructed to so notify Gordon Nelson, Fire Chief. Police Public Safety Commissioner Don Hrndt was present. The budget for Dept.• the Police Department was discussed. It was suggested that the Assistant Clerk investigate the cost of Collision Insurance for the Police Car. It was agreed that Policeman Jerome Johnson be paid straight time for any overtime he puts in. It was suggested that Arndt contact the Policemen in an effort to arrange the hours so that the Day Force quits when the Night tgan comes on at 6 P. l?. -- starting an hour later in the morning if necessary. Fire Dept. Gordon Nelson, Fire Chief, was present. The budget for the Fire Department was discussed. It was agreed that the Paid Firemen were to receive a X10.00 a month increase starting the first of the year -January 1st, 1959. Skating Rink It was moved by Utecht, seconded by Nilsen and unanimously voted Idaho and that Paul Coppini be authorized to obtain lumber necessary for Snelling the skating rinks. It was moved by Utect, seconded by Nilsen and unanimously voted to authorize Coppini to have a post with two lights installed at the drainage ~SOle at Idaho and Snelling. It was agreed that Olsen will contact Clarence Rekstad, asking that Rekstad submit plans and prices on a Lean-to shelter approx- imately 10 ft long x 6 ft aide, pitched roof, open front, with benches on three sides. Village Utecht mentioned the fact that Filings for Election to Village Election - Offices close November 17th at !~l30 P. ;:5. Council It was moved by Utecht, seconded by Coppini and unanimously Meeting voted that the Council Meeting scheduled for November 27th, be moved ahead to November 20th, at 7:00 P.
