Nilsen, Mayor; George Shavor, Trustee; Willis Warkentien, Trustee; Paul Coppini, Trustee and Wm. R. Utecht, Clerk. Also present were Frank N. Graham, Attorney; Vernon L. Ljungren, Village Engineer and Ethel E. White, Deputy Clerk and Deputy Treasurer. Absent: Wm. E. Olsen, Treasurer. Water Main After checking bids and advertisement for bids, Attorney Graham Extension advised the Council to reject all bids. Utecht moved that all bids on the Water Main Extension and Pumping Station be rejected and that the bid bonds be returned to the res- pective bidders. Seconded by Shavor. .~ roll call vote was taken which was recorded as follows: Nilsen, Atiye; Utecht, Aye; Shavor, Aye; Warkentien, Aye. Coppini, No. After discussion, it was moved by Utecht, seconded by Warkentien and unanimously voted to adopt the following resolution: RESOLUTION APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND ORDERING ADVER- TISEMENT FOR BIDS: WHEREAS, The Village Engineer, at the request of the Village Council, has prepared modified plans and specifications for the improvement of Larpenteur Avenue between Snelling Avenue and a point 726' East of the center line of Cleveland Avenue by the in- stallation of the water main and appurtenances to comply with the requirements of the Minnesota State Board of Health by the elimina- tion of the underground pumping station and has presented such re- vised plans and specifications to the Council for approval, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF FALCON HEIGHTS, MINNESOTA: 1. Such plans and specifications, as so modified, a copy of which have been filed in the office of the Village Clerk, are hereby approved. 2. The Village Clerk shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the Rose Tribune an advertisement for bids for the making of such improvement as per approved plans and specifications. This ad- vertisement to be published on August 13th and August 20th, 1959, shall specify the work to be done, shall state that bids will be opened and considered by the Council at 7 P. M. on Monday, August 24th, 1959, in the Council Chambers in the Village Hall at 1644 W. Larpenteur Avenue, and that no bids will be considered unless sealed and filed with the Clerk and accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier's check or certified check payable to the Village of Falcon Heights in the amount of 10~ of such bid. Minutes Ljungren asked that the words "As the lowest responsible bidder" be deleted from the last line of paragraph 2 of page 1267. Coppini said the words "As the lowest responsible bidder" should be added to his resolution found in paragraph 3 on page 1267. Adjournment On motion, the meeting adjourned at 7:15 P. M.
