1. Discussion – City Code Updates
Staff Liaison Lynch explained the need for updates to City Code, citing the need
to clarify confusion portions or address areas that come up frequently in Code
Enforcement. She went through updates added and the Planning Commission
discussed. Updates included adding required information from the State in the
Stormwater Management chapter, making suggested changes to the Subdivision
chapter and allowing for an administrative process for a 2-lot subdivision, and
adding requirements for certification of taxes paid in the Zoning chapter for
amendments, variances, and conditional use permits. The Commission also
discussed the uses permitted in the different zoning districts and determined the
Larpenteur-Snelling Corridor Study would be a good opportunity for a discussion
around this.
F. INFORMATION AND ANNOUNCEMENTS
1. Staff Liaison Report
Staff Liaison Lynch reported the Larpenteur-Snelling Corridor Study was to be
approved the following night by City Council and should be kicking off in the
next month.
2. Council Liaison Report
Mayor Gustafson thanked everyone for coming out to the Ice Cream Social
event, where over 600 ice creams were served.
