CALL TO ORDER: Chair Wassenberg called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. B. ROLL CALL: Members present: Wassenberg, Olson, Mathwig, Vannucci and Seth Also present: Council Liaison Wehyee, Staff Liaison Moretto Members absent: McCleery and Bucholtz C. APPROVAL OF MINUTES: February 8, 2021 Changes were offered pertaining to the schedule for Environment Corner posts for 2020. Moved, seconded to approve revised minutes for March 8, 2021; motion carried. D. AGENDA 1. Election of 2020 Officers i. Upon nomination and a unanimous vote of approval, the following officers were elected for 2020: Chair – Patrick Mathwig Vice Chair – Esha Seth 2. Discussion of the EC Corner i. Members discussed individual contribution and priorities for the Environmental Commission weekly news items. Each member will contribute an item over the course of the year. Difference topics were discussed and a working plan was created. 3. Beekeeping Application Education i. Staff and commission members discussed resources for new applicants for beekeeping in the city. Members recommended other cities who also allow beekeeping and some of the approved training programs they used. Staff will review and implement where appropriate. E. ADJOURN The meeting was adjourned at 8:30 p.m.
