discuss policy topics in greater detail prior to a formal meeting where a public hearing may be held and/or
action may be taken. Members of the public that would like to make a comment or ask questions about an
item on the agenda for an upcoming workshop should send them to mail@falconheights.org prior to the
meeting. Alternatively, time is regularly allotted for public comment during Regular City Council
Meetings (typically 2nd and 4th Wednesdays) during the Community Forum.

Item Community Park Renovation Discussion (interior / exterior finishes)
Description
The Council has invited the Parks and Recreation Commission back to their
Workshop Meeting to now review a presentation of interior/exterior finish
samples proposed by HCM Architects for the new building at Community
Park.
The Parks Commission and City Council are asked to provide guidance on the
color palette for the building, and to discuss general aesthetics. Additionally,
the flooring of the main community room will be discussed to help give staff /
architects direction.

Requested
Staff requests that the Council and Parks and Recreation Commission review
proposed interior and exterior finish samples (to include flooring, paint, brick,
and asphalt shingles) proposed by HCM Architects in order to make their
recommendations for the park building’s finishes.

Item Future Agenda Items
Description
This is an opportunity to discuss future agenda items the City Council would
like to discuss at either a regular meeting or workshop format.
Additionally, this will be an opportunity to discuss what topics we’d like to
include for our City Council strategic planning / goal setting retreat on
Saturday, April 27th. Some topics previously discussed / suggested include:
Assessment Policy
Plowing / Alleyway Consideration
Police Services
75th Anniversary Planning
Garbage & Recycling Services
Employee Benefits / Staff Retention
