SPECIAL MEETING 9/18/61
Meeting was called. to order at 7:30 P. M., the following Council Members
being present: Harold C. Nilsen, Mayor; George Shavor, Trustee; Paul
Coppini, Trustee; Willis Warkentien, Trustee; W. A. Mortenson, Clerk.
Also present were Wm. E. Olsen, Treasurer; and Ethel E. White, Dep. Clk.
and Dep. Treas.
Sewer Letter from R. J. Ahmann regarding sewer trouble was
read and discussed. The Deputy Clerk was instructed to
contact Roto-Rooter in an attempt to ascertain where
the block was found.
Sewer Conn. Note from N. J. Nahurski, b30 Minn. Bldg., residence
1592 Maple Knoll was read and Dep. Glk. instructed to
ask Mr. Nahurski fora copy of his letter from the
Highway Department.
Office Supplies The Deputy Clerk was authorized to order 3M white wove
density envelopes, printed corner card in black ink,
at X9.63 per M from Northern States Envelope Co.
Hermes Property Letter from L, H. Conlon was read and the Dep. Clk.
instructed to inform him that Mr. Hermes and his
attorney ire working on the proposal which involves
many angles as well as the fence. We will advise him
as soon as anything further is heard.
Sidewalks The condition of the sidewalks in Northome was dis-
cussed and the Deputy Clerk instructed to consult with
the Pub. ~dorks Dept. , St. Paul, and the League of
Minnesota Municipalities to ascertain how the problem
could be handled.
Speed, Roselawn Letter from Fir. Romanowski was read. Dep. Clerk reported
that one of the Village Police Officers had contacted
Mr. Romanowski, and gotten in touch with Roseville's
Police Chief who asked that the Falcon Heights Police
arrest offenders on the Roseville side of the street
and refer them to the Roseville Court.
Hospitalization There was a discussion regarding hospitalization plans.
Clerk Mortenson will check further and. report later.
Sewer Rental There eras a discussion regarding sewer rental rates.
Roseville's ordinance was studied. The Deputy Clerk
was instructed to ask North St. Paul and R4aplewood
for copies of their sewer rental ordinances.
Special Meeting A special meeting was set for Monday, September 25th,
at ?:30 P. M.
Adjournment On motion, the meeting adjourned t 11:20 P. M.
