SPECIAL ':MEETING SEPTEMBER 25, 1961.
The meeting was called to order at 7:30 P. M., the following Council Members
being present: Harold C. Nilsen, P~Iayor; George Shavor, Trustee; Willis
Warkentien, Trustee; W. ~. R:4ortenson, Clerk. Also present were Wm. E. Olsen,
Treasurer and Ethel E. White, Deputy Clerk and Deputy Treasurer. Absent:
Paul L. Coppini, Trustee.
Regional A4eeting The Deputy Clerk was instructed to make reservations for
A!Iinnesota League 11 at the regional meeting of the League of Minnesota
of Municipalities i,~unicipalities to be held Monday, October 9th, 6:30 P. itq.,
P!iendakota Country Club, located at the intersections of
State Highways 100 and 49 about 2? miles East of the Mendota
Bridge.
The Deputy Clerk was also instructed to write Osseo thanking
them for their invitation but advising that, due to the fact
that the ~Jlendakota Country Club was closer, the Council
felt it would be more convenient.
RCr40A Clerk Mortenson will attend the meeting to be held at the
North St. Paul Village Ha11 at 8 P. M. September 27th.
TNN. STATE AID the Deputy Clerk was instructed to ask Engineer Lemberg
Streets when the "Needs Studies" were supposed to be made and
figures submitted.
Appointments A!Ir. Chas. Stone expressed his willingness to accept an
appointment to finish out the remainder of Trustee Coppini's
term, 1. e. October 1st to December 31st, 1961.
Budget There was a discussion regarding the budget.
Curb and gutter The Deputy Clerk was requested to ascertain method of
assessing for curb and gutter by various surrounding
communities.
Bingo There was a discussion regarding the advisability of the
Fire Department running Bingo Games rather than selling
dance tickets. The matter needs more study.
Ad3ournment The meeting adjourned at 11:10 P. M.
