Stone, Trustee; W. A. Mortenson, Clerk; Willis Warkentien, Trustee; George J. Shavor, Trustee. Also present were M. J. Galvin, Village Attorney; Wm. E. Olsen, Treasurer; Brad Lemberg, Village Engineer; and Ethel E. White, Deputy Clerk and Deputy Treasurer. Minutess It was moved by Stone, seconded by Warkentien and voted that the Minutes of the Regular Meeting of February 21st be approved as submitted. License, All requirements having been met, it was moved by Mortenson, Plumbings seconded by Warkentien and voted to issue Master Plumber's License No. 77 to Fred F. Wagner, dba F. G. Wagner Plumbing & Heatir~ Company, Lt39 So. Cleveland Avenue, St. Fain, 5, Minn. Sign, Shell Request for permit by Ben H. Christopher, owner, Crown Sign Oil Co. & Construction Company was reviewed and the Deputy Clerk was instructed to retwrn same to Crown Construction Company with excerpt from Ordinance 6!i pertaining to Filling Station Signs, advising that proposed location does not comply with ordinance. Recreations The Deputy Clerk was instructed to advise Eri~net D. William , '~ Supt. of Schools, Independent School District No. 623, that Mr. ' " i 7 . Stocker will attend the meeting of Recreation Directors +~ '~ to be held at the Alexander Ramsey High School Library at 7.:30 ~ p. m. on Tuesday, March 13th, 1962, as Falcon Heights Official Representative. Planning: Informative literature on the Second Annual State~Pide Planning Conference was reviewed, and the Deputy Clerk was instructed to forward same to Mr. Geo. W. Plant, Chairman, Falcon Heights Planning Commission, advising that the Village will pay his expenses if he can attend the meetings scheduled. Sewer, 15lt0 After discussion, it was moved by Shavor, seconded by warkentien Towa. and voted that the Village prepare and mail a check to R. J. Ahmann, Jr. and Roto-Rooter Sewer Service Company in the amount of X37.00 in ,view of the excessive expense incurred by Mr. Ahmann due to a fault in tree construction of the sewer stub from the main to his property line. Tack Boards: The Clerk was authorized to buy two tack boards - one for the " Village Hall and the other for the Clerk's Office, and arrange to have same framed and mounted by Fire Department personnel. Boulevard Dr. Hard's report was read and his proposal that money for tree Tree Study: maintenance be devoted to pruning and tree removal was noted. Bonestroo-Rosene will prepare a card designed to survey number and location of trees, card to be attached to and mailed with the sewer rental cards. Oxygen, Stone asked Warkentien if he would like to rener- his motion that polic® car: oxygen equipment be purchased for the police car. Warkentien replied "Yes. Al Helbig, spokesman for the fire department 1727 said he had no ob3ection to the volice carrying oxygen, he thought it would be a good idea, but he thought the calls should go into the Fire Department where there xas alxays someone on duty - you never knell xhether you could reach the Police Officer xho might be xorking away from the car. He also said he didn~t think one man could handle a resusitator himself - it required at least two men. After further discussion, 'Warkentien said he saw no need for both the Police and Fire Department going on an oxygen call, and therefore xithdrew his motion that the squad car be equipped with a McKesson Emergency Oxygen Resusitator. Dip .Needle: It was moved by Nilsen, seconded by Stone and voted that Engineer Lemberg be authorized to buy a dip needle for use in locating manholes, catch-basins, etc. Lemberg xas also author- ized to buy flexible, armored, steam hose far use with the steamer. Mun. State Lemberg reported he had talked xith Dean Anklan, County Engi- Aid Roads: neer, who said he was agreeable to the Village taking over Garden Avenue as a State Aid Road, but that the Village would have to make a formal request to the Board of County Commissioners. Lemberg xas requested to make a thorough study of the matter and make his recommendations to the Council in writing. Land Use s Lemberg presented "Land Use" brochures to the Council. Members of the Council will study same and the matter xi11 be dis- cussed at the next meeting. Filing It xas t~ved by Stone, seconded by W arkentien and voted that Cabinet, Clerk Mortenson be authorized to purchase a 4-draxer filing Police Dept.i cabinet; equipped with a lock, for the Police Department. Seger, 1980 The Deputy Clerk was instructed to bill resident for sewer Autumn: rental on installation made September 25th-27th but for xhich no permit had been obtained by the installing plumber. Clerk Mortenson will make further attempts to contact the plumber. Financial Treasurer Olsen reported on his progress. :Stone, Nilsen, Statement: Mortenson and Olsen will meet Tuesday, March 13th, and attempt to complete the report. Sinking After discussion, it xas moved by Warkentien, seconded by Funds: Stone and voted that the following resolution be adopted: BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and Village Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to purchase with funds in the SAAII~'ARY SENER IMPROVEMENT N0. 1 SINKING FUND up to ten thousand dollars (3610,000.) worth of U. S. Treasury Bills due June 14, 1962, and PURCHASE KITH FUND IN THE LARpENTEUR AVENUE WATERMAIN & PUMP- ING STATION IMPROVEMENT SINKING FUND up to two-thousand dollars 02,000.) worth of U. S. Treasury bills due August 23rd, 1962, and 1728 PURCHASE WITH FUNDS IN THE WATERMAIN IMPROVEMENT 1960 No. 1 SINKING FUND up to four-thousand dollara ('~1t,000.) worth of U. S.
