SPECIAL MEETING JUNE 11, 1962.
Meeting was called to order at 7:30 P. M., the following Council Members being
present: Harold C. Nilsen, ?~4ayor; George Shavor, Trustee; ~Nillis ~~~arkentien,
Trustee; VII. A. Mortenson, Clerk; and Ethel E. GF,~hite, Deputy Clerk and Deputy
Treasurer. Absent: Charles P. Stone, Trustee.
Voting Pre- After discussion, it vdas moved by 'Narkentien, seconded by Shavor
cincts and voted to adopt the following resolution setting boundary
lines for voting precincts:
WHEREAS, the Village Council of the Village of Falcon Heights
deems it necessary to create four (!t) election precincts, where
three now exist, and
r'~I-IEREAS, the Village Council of the Village of Falcon Heights deems
it necessary to change the boundaries of the existing election
precincts of the Village of Falcon Heights,
N04V THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the new precinct boundaries for
voting in municipal, county, state and federal elections within
the Village of Falcon Heights be and awe now created, anc3 the map
attached hereto designates the new precincts which have the.
boundaries as indicated in the fo11 owing descriptionss
PRECINCT 1 POLLING PLACE: Village Hall, Vi"page of Falcon Heights
DESCRIPTION Commencing at the intersection of Fairview Avenue and Larpenteur
OF BOUNDARIES: Avenue; thence westerly along the middle line of Larpenteur
Avenue to a point 726 feet east of Cleveland Avenue, being the
easterly boundary of Precinct 4; thence northerly along said
easterly boundary of Precinct ~. to ~{oselawn Avenue; thence
easterly along the mir~dle line of Roselawn .Avenue to Snelling
• Avenue; thence southerly along the middle line of Snelling Avenue
to the S. E. corner of Section 21, Town 29, Range 23, (being the
south Village Limits of Falcon Heights); thence west on the
south line of said section 21 to the west boundary of the
'dinnesota State Fairgrounds; thence northerly and easterly along
said boundary to Fairview Avenue extended; thence northerly
along the mi~'dle line of Fairview Avenue to the point of beginning.
PRECINCT 2 POLLING PLACE: Village Hall, Village of Falcon Heights
DESCRIPTION Commencing at the intersection of S-~elling Avenue and Larpenteur
OF BOUNDARIES: Avenue; thence easterly along the middle line of Larpenteur
Avenue to Hamline Avenue; thence southerly along the middle line
of Hamline Avenue to Hoyt Avenue; thence westerly along the
middle line of Hoyt Avenue to Snelling Avenue; thence northerly
along the middle line of Snelling Avenue to the point of beginning.
PRECINCT 3 POLLING PLACE: Falcon Heights School
DESCRIPTION Commencing at the intersection of Larpenteur Avenue and Snelling
OF BOUNDARIES: Avenue, thence northerly along the middle line of Snelling Avenue
to Roselawn Avenue; thence easterly along the middle line of
Roselawn Avenue to Hamline Avenue; thence southerly along the

middle line of Hamline Avenue to Larpenteur Avenue; thence
westerly along the center line of Larpenteur Avenue to the
point of beginning.
PRECINCT !t POLLING PLACES University of Minnesota, building known as the
~~ Northwest Green House (also known as Gibbs-Nelson Greenhouse)
located on the South side of Larpenteur Avenue, one block
West of Cleveland.
DESCRIPTION Beginning at the intersection of Fulham Street and Roselawn
OF BOUNDARIES Avenue, easterly along the middle line of Roselawn Avenue
to anoint 726 feet east of Cleveland Avenue; and thence
southerly along the boundary line of the University of
rinnesota properties and Falcon Z'~oods Addition No. 1 to
Larpenteur Avenue; thence easterly along the middle line of
Larpenteur A•,.renue to Fairview Avenue; thence southerly along
the middle line of Fairview Avenue extended to the north
boundary of the ~~4innesota State Fairgrounds; and southerly along
said boundary to the south boundary of Section 21, Town 29,
Range 23, (being the South Village limits of Falcon Heights);
thence westerly along the south line of said Section 21 to
Cleveland .Avenue extended; thence northerly along the middle line
of Cleveland Avenue to Hoyt Avenue; thence west~~ly along the
middle line of Hoyt Avenue to Fulham Street; thence northerly
along the middle line of Fulham Street to the point of
beginning.
Adopted by the Village Council this 11th day of June, 1962.
