~tt.orney's Attorney Galvin reported that there is a clause in the
Report Torrens Deed covering the property at 1780 No. Snelling

as a two-family home.
He talked to E. ~~'. Spring end explained to him the purpose
of the Fry Street reservation which is on file and of
record in the office of the Registrar of Deeds.
Licenses: ~n motion by Stone, seconded by `?ortenson, it was voted
to a*~prove the filling station license for Leonard Kraske,
F=~lcon Heights Cities Service, Snelling and Larpenteur.
On motion by Stone, seconded by ~~?ortenson, it was voted
to grant a ";Salter Gas Ins+„aller's license to Suburban
Heating, Inc.,?.050 ti'~hite ?e,~r Avenue, St. Paul, 9, L"inn.
Arona avenue ~gineer Lemberg reported the work has been completed in
a satisfactory manner. The bid. Write was "2,l~33.75; final
cost `~2,~135.7~, a difi'erence of X1,99 more than bid.
Crawford Avenue Engineer Lemberg reported tha± the vrork has been completed.
in a satisfactory manner. The bid price v,as X6,527.70;
final cost ~'~6,50i~.~0; "27.30 less than the bid price.

a-,prove Contractor's Lsti~ate ~2 and final for Alexander
Construction Company, Inc,, covering the Crawford Avenue
Improvement, in the amount of ~1,1~1lz.15; also Contractor's
estimate ~2 and final for Alexander Construction Company
covering the Arona Avenue Street Im-~r wement in the
amount of X816.09.
Curb & Gutter, It was moved by Stone, seconded by '~tortenson and voted to
Iowa .Ave. accent the report of the engineer and. to approve the
follov~ing resolution ordering preparation of report on
Improvement of .Arona Avenue from the '++est line of the
Snelling-Idaho Ponding-Recreation Area to the East line of
tramline .4venue ~y the installation of curbs and gutters on
Iovra Avenue

Jl~ly 11, 1962, a report has been prepared by ?onestroo,
Rosene R~ "Associ,~tes, Inc., vrith reference to the Improvement

Idaho ''onding-Fecreation I~rea and the East line of
Hemline Avenue by construction of curbs and gut.+er.s.
This report was received by the Council on July 18, 1962;

(1) The Council will consider +,he improvement of such
street in accordance with the report and the assessment
of abutting broperty for all or a portion of the cost
of the improvement, pursuant to :~dinnesota Statutes,
Section !~?_9.011 to L29.111 (Laws of 1953, Chapter 398,
as Amended), at an estima-,ed total cos± of the improvement
of X13,333.82,
(2) A.?~ublic hearing sh~.l be held on such proposed
improvement on the, is+., ra;T of August 1962 in the Council
Chambers of the `tillage Hall a t 8 ?. ',?. , and the Clerk
shall give mailed and published notice of such he`=ring
on improvement, as required by law.
T1. L. Hermes, ?ar. Hermes was present and advised he has made arrangements
Business Prop. to have the alley behind his buildings and Vest to St.
ldary's graded with a deprc;ssion in the center and black-
topped so the water '"7111 r.~rain South to the alley ?nd then
'Jfest to St. 'cry's. However, the contractor is loath to
start the work due to the rain and wet condition of the
soil. He hasn't been able to do anything about t~ e fence
because ?.4r. Shel~;ren has an injunction against him and
that Shelgren's Attorney has failed to a-~r~ear on two differ-
. ent occasions vrhen the suit was set for trial.
