Mortenson, Clerk; C. P. Stone, Trustee; George Shavor, Trustee. Also present were Wm. E. Olsen, Treasurer; ,Brad Lemberg, Engineer; and Ethel E. White, Deputy Clerk and Deputy Treasurer. Absent: Willis Warkentien, Trustee. On motion by Shavor, seconded by Stone, it was voted to approve the Minutes of the Regular Meeting of July 25th as submitted. Licensees It was moved by Mortenson, seconded by Shavor and voted to accept application for On-Sale Beer Licenses for the State Fair Grounds as follows: Wm. S. Brede, 2211 B. Shavor moved that the application for permit by Lawrence, Inc., for sign for the Falcon Heights Bank be denied,. and that the applicant be informed that on any future applications, we must have the signature of the owner to confirm this is the type of sign he desires. Sewer Conns It was moved by Mortenson, seconded by Nilsen arid. voted that the Village of Falcon Heights request the Commissioner of Public Works to permit Rose Plumbing Company to make a connection to the St. Paul sewer for the Central Shop Building, Minnesota Highway Department, 11179 No. Snelling Avenue, all expenses incurred to be paid by Rose Plumbing. 1793 Bruneke claim; Copy of letter from H. P. Bruncke to Briggs and Morgan was read. It advised, in part, claim for damages is based upon tre unauthorized change in the street grade and requested that the claim be considered still active, offering to discuss the matter in person. Snow plowing Letter. of August 6th from the County Commissioners was County Roads: read. Their proposal to remove snow from the County Roads in our Village is agreeable. Street Letter of August 2nd from the .County Engineer was read. Mileages Lemberg advised that all street mileage has been listed, including Grove East and Grove West, and it will be (3. K. for them to consider the previously reported mileage com- plete and correct. Snow Plowing The Deputy Clerk was instructed to request Village Engineers Village Streets: to make arrangements with the County for snow and ice control for the coming season. Weed Cutting, It was moyed by_Nilsen, seconded by Shavor and voted to Private Propertys certify the X38.00 cost of cutting the weeds on the Julia Lindig property to the County auditor for collection with her taxes. Sewer Conner- The Deputy Clerk was instructed to ask Atty. Galvin to tion: take action against any residents who have not connected to the Village Sanitary Sewer line. Lighting, Cross- Nilsen moved that Village Engineer Lemberg be instructed to Walks _ get in touch with Wm. Chenoweth, Traffic Safety Engineer, Ramsey County Highway Department, advising him we are ready to proceed. with the installation of the mast arm, flashing amber lights, at the cross walk located bet~reen .krona and Snelling, on Larpenteur, and that the Council would appreciate the Highway Department's participation in the cost inasmuch as it is an improvement to a County Highway. Seconded by Mortenson and carried. Idaho-Snelling Stone moved that the engineer be authorized to take the Playground: necessary steps to control the erosion of the spill way at the Zdaho-Snelling Playground. Seconded by Nilsen and carried. Stone moved that the Engineer be authorized to obtain and have delivered 30 yards of top soil to be levelled and seeded by Village personnel, and to obtain the necessary grass seed to seed the area under question.
