The minutes of the Special i;eetinl of November '7, 1962 vrere approved,
moved by Shavor and seconded by S+.,one.
Deputy Clerk: Due to the sudden death of our Deputy Cler'_~c and
Deputy Treasurer, Ethel. w~~,~-:ite, on Sunday November
25, 1962 the question o_f a temporary relief was
discussed, with the problem being up to Clerk
?~ortenson for solution.
Trees: The ''_orin Tree Service submitted a rroposal for
cabling a.nd removing certain trees as a-~nroved by
i}r. Hard, Village Tree Consultant. '^rie present
accumulation of branches and tree trimmings are to
be burned to mace vra.y for further cuttings, the
fire department to be notified.
George Shavor moved that the above proposal be
accented, Seconded by 'r",~arkentien and. passed
unanimously. The price to be x,336.00.
Eosacker Greenhouse: fir. Lloyd Cordon of 17 -iid Oaks ~:ane, :?oseville

appeared. before the Council accompanied by a T'r.
~3urger from the r , :i. C. Corporation, requesting a
variance for tYie use of the front end of the
Rosacker Greenhouse property at 1705 *j, Cleveland<
He wants to use it for technical purposes, testing
and checking for a government production item.
There would be some machining Vrith torsion tests,
hiring !~ to 6 employees at a time, with no smoke,
noise or explosion hazard. '~'_r. Gordon was given
a variance application. to be sent to the planning
commission for study.
?pad and bridge Eund: A letter was received from the County Commissioners
stating our allocation. to be X2,013.71. This com-
pares with `2,109.95 last year.

Lemberg with a discussion on the specifications
and alternates. 'T'he bids received had a low of
"?a,380.00 with a hi=gh bid of ?6,930,00. Sev ral
representatives of the area were present to
revievtiT the program and advocate the acceptance
of the plan. A Sussell-built garage type build-
ing of wood frame was analyzed.. It zjras finally
:moved by ':% ill is tiar'::entien and seconded by Charles
tone that ~Jre accept the low bid of the T,. m.
Dunham Construction Company at the figure of
~~,380.96. Passed unanimously.

Snow Plowing; Can Hamline Ave. near the Iowa corner ysere reviev~zed
due to the conflict with the City of St. Paul who
plow the street causing- a pile un on the sidewalk
and without re~a.rd to :~edestrain use. Stone moved
that "<iayor P~Tilsen be authorrzed to hire a front-
end loader to cooperate in snow removal from the
fr. opt of the commercial prcAoerty ~n the S. u1.
corner of Hamline and Iovra. Seconded by Vuarkentien
and carried.

result Stone moved gnat, commencing January 1,
1963, the t'Yree paid Village firemen be authorized
to use the services of furnished and cleaned work
uniforms at a. rate not to exceed 90 cep-ts per man
per week. Seconded by Shavor and passed.
