DISCUSSION - THREE FINALISTS FOR CLERK/ADMINISTRATOR POSITION
Council inquired of Consultant Loren Law, if after the Council's morning
interviews and after meeting with city staff on April 24th, all three
finalists, Stephen King, Mark Noble, and Janet Wiesner were still
interested in the position and Law replied in the affirmative. Law
commented on additional benefits all candidates would like such as a
severance pay agreement and membership in ICMA for possible pension fund
participation. Law recommended Council take a secret ballot to determine
which candidates are still being considered, and after reviewing the
ballots found all members had voted for Janet Wiessner.
Council and Law then negotiated requests Weisner had made regarding
severance pay, immediate sick leave/vacation time, relocation allowance,
and membership in various organizations.
