HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 26-21 Promoting Alyssa Landberg to the Position of Finance DirectorCITY OF FALCON HEIGHTS COUNCIL RESOLUTION March 1'1.,2026 No.26-21 RESOLUTION PROMOTING ALYSSA LANDBERG TO THE POSITION OF FINANCE DIRECTOR FOR THE CITY OF FALCON HEIGHTS WHEREAS, Alyssa Landberg began employment with the City of Falcon Heights as an Accounting Intem n 2021, and was subsequently promoted to Accountant and later to Assistant Finance Director; and WHEREAS, following the retirement of the City's Finance Director in August 2025, Alyssa Landberg has served as Interim Finance Director and has successfully managed the City's financial operatioru during the transition; and WHEREAS, during her tenure with the City, Alyssa Landberg has demonstrated exceptional performance and leadership in municipal finance, including improvements to payroll administratiory implementation of outsourced payroll services, management of the City's Paid Family Medical Leave program/ and modernization of finance and human resource practices; and WHEREAS, Alyssa Landberg holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the University of Minnesota-Crookston and has completed six of the seven examinations toward earning the Certified Public Finance Officer (CPFO) credential; and WHEREAS, the position of Finance Director serves as the City s chief financial officer and is responsible for the shategic leadership and oversight of the CtVr financial operations, including budgeting, financial reporting, debt management and compliance with goveflrrnental accounting standards; and WHEREAS, the City Administrator recommends the promotion of Alyssa Landberg to the position of Finance Director to provide continued stability and leadership for the City s financial operations. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Falcon Heights, Minnesota: 1,. Promote Alyssa landberg to the position of Finance Director for the City of Falcon Heights, effective March 12,2026; and 2. Establish compensation for the position at Grade 7,Step 6 of the Crty" adopted Pay Plan, consistent with the City's classification and compensation system; and 3.
