D.APPROVAL OF AGENDA
•King would like to add Nite to Unite to the Unfinished business knowing that we
will most likely cover in a future meeting

1.Apartment Outreach
a.Progress on calls
i.Thank you to Cooley-Kistler for efforts in calling apartment
managers
ii.Messages were left but no calls have been returned
iii.Other communications are in the notes on the agenda
iv.Johnson – it appears that the
v.Cooley-Kistler was pleasantly surprised that the property
managers were pleasant and willing to hear what we
b.Johnson communicated that St. Anthony has given Ice cream coupons
to apartment managers or block captains
c. King wonders if we can find a service (Kleinman or Metro Services) to
help get or fund ice cream that can be dropped off at the apartments
d. Stockford suggests going with what is available which appears that it
is the coupon that St. Anthony has to offer.
e. Cooley-Kistler asks if we are deciding not to hold a Nite to Unite
event at City Hall
f. Knight, Johnson and Stockford agree that City Hall is good idea but
we can look at possibly making use of the space at a different date,
reminding that the original purpose of engaging at the apartment
residence at their location.
g. Knight – as a part of the reaching out we will mention that we are
focusing on Nite to Unite and we will offer assistance or ideas to help
them plan
h. Stockford – if there are residents who are interested in planning a Nite
to Unite event have them call city hall and we can suggest resources.
i. Next steps – we will be doing another round of calls with follow up e-
mails
2. Juniper
a. Stockford having trouble connecting with Juniper. They are playing
phone tag. Will continue to
b. Interested in knowing if there needs to be a sponsorship
(organizational or financial, etc). When they are looking to schedule
c. Knight suggests inviting the Juniper representative to our next
meeting.
3. Dog bags and bag receptacles in Community Park
a. Knight – need to clarify
b. Johnson – spoke with Parks & Rec commission. It is on the agenda for
the park commission already and it is part of the renovation plan.
c. This is now resolved on the Community Engagement Commission
agenda
• New Business
4. Spring Together
a. Johnson would like to understand what the CEC would want to do at
Spring
b. Ebbesen suggests a table and recruiting
c. Stockford would like to handout information for Nite to Unite
d. Knight suggests that people that want more information can sign up
to receive more information
e. Ebbesen will man the information table focusing on recruitment and
Nite to Unite information
f. Cooley-Kistler will be available for set-up
g. Knight will be available to help clean-up and tear down
h. Stockford is not certain of attendance for the event
5. Other Business
a. Stockford has connected to with the Roseville Superintendent to
recruit for a student commissioner. Elke will be the contact.
b. Johnson knows that Wassenberg is also working with the school
district also
c. Stockford suggests possibly connecting with a local scouting group or
similar organization.
d. Commissioner Leighton has submitted her resignation
e. Cooley-Kistler will be attending the May meeting but will be resigned
after that meeting. Will be willing to help during the possible fall
event
