A RESOTUTION ACCEPTING A QUOTE FROM NORTHLAND
RECREATION FOR THE REMOVAL OF THE EXISTING COMMUNITY
PARK PLAYGROUND EQUIPMENT - COMMUNITY PARK RENOVATION
PROIECT #0L
WHEREAS, the City of Falcon Heights is undertaking a comprehensive renovation
of Community Park to improve amenities for residents and visitors; and
WHEREAS, an inclusive and accessible playground was identified by the City
Council and Parks and Recreation Commission as a priority addition to the park;
and
WHEREAS, Northland Recreation proposed a playground consistent with the
City's goals and was selected as the playground provider; and
WHEREAS, the responsibility of the removal of the existing playground
equipment will shift from New Look Contracting, Inc. to Northland Recreatiorl
allowing the existing playground to remain in place until the new playground is
installed; and
WHEREAS, Council approved Change Order #2 onMay 13, 2026, rcducing the
amount owed to New Look Contracting, Inc. by $5,626; arrd
WHEREAS, Northland Recreation will now be responsible for removing the
existing playground equipment, backfilling the space, and seeding it for $23,530;
and
WHEREAS, the projec/s overall cost is included in the 2026 Capital lmprovement
Plan and projectbudget, and the City of Falcon Heights will also receive grant
funds to help offset the project's overall expense.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Falcon
Heights, Minnesota, as follows:

1. The City Council hereby authorizes the removal of existing playground
equipment at Community Park from Northland Recreation in the amount of
$23,530.
