Rysgaard y Ralph Van Hoven The meeting was called to order by Mayor Matteson at 7;45 p. m. Minutes of the regular meeting of Tuesday, September 13, and the meeting of Sg:ptember 27 were read and approved. Culverts Art Lindig reported upon recommendation of County Engineer and Stan Seaborn, Street Commissioner, that he had decided not to replace the 18" culverts on Idaho near Snelling Drive at this time . ~Yi lson Property Mayor Matteson re ad a letter re ce ive d from Mr. Graham, dated September 26, 1949, giving his opinion on the proposed property to be pur- chased from Roland K.tJilson, and moved that Attorney Graham draw up re lease to be e~de - cuted by the ;Nilsons. Seconded Lindig. Motion carried. Contract Fire Mr• Anderson reported that the Village of Protection feud- ?~.uderdale had executed the proposed Fire erdale Protection Contract, effective September 1; 1949, calling for standby payments of X50.00 per month and payments of ~?5.00 per first hour, and X50.00 for each suc- ceeding additional hour or fraction there- of on each run. After discussion Lindig moved the adoption of the follo~ving reso- lution: "Resolved: That the Mayor and Deputy Clerk be and hereby are authorized to execute on behalf of the Village of Falcon Heights the contract for Fire pro- tection .vith the Village of ~uderdale submitted at this meeting. seconded Shavor. Motion carried. Matteson moved Deputy Glerk be instructed at the time of returning copy of Fire Protection Contract to the Village of Lauderdale to inform the Village of Lauderdale of the mutual understanding providing in case any area within the Village of Lauderdale is Classified as Class 8 the Fire Contract shall be subject to re- negotiation for an increase in the standby charge • Se conded Shavor • Motion carried.
