9[eeting called to order at 7:30 pm. Minutes of Regular meeting, September 11,
and of Special meeting, Sept. 21, were approved as read.
Fire Dept. John Rysgasrd reported on difficulties the Fire Department
deluge encountered in trying to make a deluge set. In considering
set purchase of a t1A~1~et, Rysgasrd will call Twin City Fire
Departments to see what may be had in the way of a used set.
It was also agreed that the Clerk try out an ad in the League
magazine for a used deluge set.

Dachtera Don Arnt, Chairman, Public Safety Committee, presented bill
bill for of Polioe Officer Dachtera, covering August and September

Aug. 25. Mr. Arndt was asked to issue orders prohibiting
future calling of local police officers out of the Pillage
area. He will also check with Dachtera as to mileage c~~imed
on letter's bill.
Olson- Building Inspector Reichow requested authority to issue a build-

Henry moved payment oP bills, seconded by Rekstad, and so
ordered.
Communications:
Letter of Sept. 15 from Falcon Heights Commercial Club, as to
providing containers for keeping the Pillage clean.
A.V. 1f~interer & Son letter about flush on the urinal in the washroom
of the fire station.
Bond repay- Van Hovers spoke as to the schedule set up for repayment of bonds,
went schedule and after some discussion, it was agreed that he should consult
on the matter with our attorney and report at the next meeting.

Meeting called to order at 7:50 pm., and minutes of September 26 meeting approved
as read.
Fire Dept. After discussion, it was agreed to hold a Fire Department
de:aonatration demonstration for the public the last Sunday in October,
and Civilian in connection with a Civilian Defense talk by Sheriff
Defense talk Gibbons.

Rekstad moved payment of said bills, seconded by Lindig.
Carried.
Wm. Olsen, Addressed the council as to difficulties in Batting cooper-
Civilian Defense ation in a local Civilian Defense program. Discussion
Supervisor followed as to Fire Chief Swanson taking charge of auxiliary
fi remena and Public Safety Chairman Arndt of auxiliary police.
Swanson read a letter from sheriff Gibbons referring to a
Civilian Defense resolution, urging all fire departments to
increase their volunteer firemen.

Dachtera bill
o.k'd for payment. Don Arndt reviewed discussion he had with Police Officer
Dachtera relative to letter's bill for poli ce calls Aug.
12 and Oct. 8, the bill totaling X42.24, including extra
auto insurance premium for policing. On recommendation of
Arndt, it was moved by Henry, sec ended by Stewart, that the
bill be paid. So ordered.
Communications:
Letter relative to the Rose Tribune being a legal publication
for Ramsey County, was referred to Attorney Graham.
Letter from Helen J. Matteson as to election matters.
Olsen-Rekstad Attorney Graham reported that it was his opinion the building
building permit permit fora double garage to be placed on the boundary of
approved. 1790 and 1784 N. Pasaal was authorised if applied for by the
owners of both lots, and that he had advised Building Inspector
Reichow by letter dated Sept. 28 to this effect, and that the
permit has been issued. Henry moved approval of issuance of
the permit. Lindig seconded and motion carried by unanimous
vote.
General Election The matter of appointing the following election officers to
3udges and clerks serve at the Gene ral Election, Tuesday, November 7:

Henry moved their appointment to office, Stewart seconded
and appointments approved unanimously.

approved. After discussion, Henry moved, secwded by Lindig, that the
following budget for next year be approved:

Motion carried and budget approved by unanimous vote.
Resolution - The following resolution was then moved by Shavor, seoonded
by Stewart, and adopted unanimously:
BE IT RESOLVED, By the Village Council of the Village of
Falcon Heights, that the Following sums be and they hereby
are levidd upon the taxable property of the Village of
Falcon Heights for the year 1950, collectible in the year
1951:
General fund X10,950.00
Street & Bridge Fund 4,000.00
Fire Protection 19,000.00
Firemen's Relief Ass'n., 110 of 1 mill.
Real Estate
Agreement Attorney Graham reported that the proposed agreement covering
di vision oP real estate with Roseville was being drain up by
Attorney Karon.
