Stewart, Clerk Ralph Van Hoven, Treasurer (11 pm.) Frank N. Graham, Attorney School Theodore C. Schultz appeared before the council in eonneotion Board with property owned by Mr. and Mrs. Nicolas J. Pothen, Mr. Clerk Conrad Klatt and Mr and tdrs. Richard Stoss, being proposed sohool property located between Roselawn, Garden, Holton and Hemline. A proposed street plan and the matter of the Village requesting highway easements from the ownera were discussed. Post Office Mr. Winfrey and a number of Falcon Heights Commercial Club members asked to be heard on the matter of having a post office in the Village. Mr. Winfrey reviewed steps that had lead to approval of the Falcon Hef ghts looation until recently when the question of adequate transportation occurred. In response to the.Commereial Club's request for oouncil support, it was agreed to have Attorney Graham draft a resolution for submission at our next meeting. To request Albert, Discussion was held with £&anning Commission members, Lorris Holton de Ruggles Y~Tilliams, C. K. Otis, J. A. Gallaher and Dwight Reiehow, highway easements. relative to requesting highway easements on Albert, Holton and Ruggles. Consideration was given to asking the owners of properties involved to attend a meeting so that matter affect- ing their land may be settled. Church group asks for temporary Mayor Henry reported receiving a request from a Presbyterian use of Village hall. group who have acquired ground for a new church in the Village, and wish to rent the Villa ge Hall for holding services until their proposed church is ready for occupancy. The matter was referred to our attorney for checking legal aspects. Fire Department After discussing with Fire Chief Swanson details of a proposed demonstration Fire demonstration for residents, it was agreed to hold the and civilian demonstration at 2:30 pm., Sunday, October 29, at which time Defense talk Sheriff Gibbons is also scheduled to speak on Civilian Defense. The clerk was asked to contact the local newspaper reporter about giving the demonstration publicity. Adjournment: On motion, the meeting adjourned at 11:10 pm. lerk Approved: v Mayor
