Nov. 14 and of special meeting, Nov. 18, approved as read.

Lindig moved payment of bills, seconded by Shavor and so ordered.
Ordinance Building Inspector Reichow submitted Ordinance No. 10 ("An Ordinance
No. 10 Amending Ordinance No. 3, Entitled 'An Ordinance Establishing A
Building Code For The Village of Falcon Heights." After reading of
the ordinance, Henry moved it be adopted. b6otion seconded by
Lindig and the following vote was recorded -
Ayes -Henry, Shavor, Zti$~adig~$ekstad, Stewart
Nays -.None
The Mayor then declared said Ordinance No. 10 duly adopted by a
unanimous vote.
Hollywood D, J, Cochrane, 1589 Hollywood Cou rt; Carroll Newman, 1598
Court Hollywood Court; and Harry Pantzer, 1603 Hollywood Court, appeared
before the Council in connection with the maintenance of lanes
in Hollywood Court. After discussion, the clerk was requested to
refer the matter to Attorney Graham for checking on Village
liability, if any, for such maintenance especially from the stnnd-
point that public maintenance has been provided for about 10 years.
Street Letter of November 21 was read from C. ~I. Sorenson, relative to
lights

installing street lights at each intersection as per action taken
by the Falcon Heights Community Club. Commissioner Seaborn was
asked to check as to number of lights needed and cost.
Ballot After discussion of ballot boxes to be had from the City of
boxes St Paul and the Village's needs in this connection, Henry moved,
seconded by Lindig, that the clerk be authorized to purchase
three ballot boxes at a cost of not to exceed X5.00 each.
Motion carried.
Fire Equipment Letter of November 2~ from Attorney Graham was read relative to
for Lauder- to calling and paying for additional fire fighting equipment for
dale. fires in Lauderdale. Shavor will contact the Fire Underwriters
as to insurance classification rating Lauderdale will be
entitled to after installation of hydrants.
Rysgaard In connection with letter from E. Y. Eckman relative to the
resignation Fire Department committee, which was read at the October 24
from Fire meeting, Stewart reported that John Rysgaard had offered his
Dept. Com. resignation from the committee due to inability to serve because
of a recent health set-back and the need of devoting more time
to his business. Henry moved that the Council accept with
reluctance Mr. Rysgaard's resignation and that he be extended
a vote of thanks and appreciation for his services on the Fire
Department committee. Lindig seconded and motion carried un-
animously.
Raymond ~riatter of selling Christmas trees on Minnesota Amusement
Norrgard, Company lot, Snelling and Larpenteur, by Raymond Norrgard,
Xmas trees.- University Farm student, was considered. To insure having
the lot restored to a satisfactory condition, the clerk was
directed to ask Air. Norrgard to post X25.00 cash deposit with
Treasurer Van Hoven, this amount to tie returned to Norrgard
when the requirement as to cleaning up the lot has been ful-
filled. Also that Mr. Norrgard be requested to observe any
suggestions the Fi re Chief or Public Safety Chaiiman might have
to offer him.

Approved:
Treasurer Van Hoven reported receipt of $245.49 check from
the Village of Roseville for the Town of Rose in connection
with the division of personal property.

The meeting was then ordered recessed until the evening of
November 30, 1950.
