The meeti rig was called t o order at 8;10 A.M. for the purpose of
considering budget requests for 1952.
Public Don Arndt, Chairman, Public Safety Committee, reported on the
Safety number and nature of Pillage calls received and answered by
the Sheriff's office the first five months of this year. On
the basis of these calls sold Arndt's own observation of con- •
ditions, his recommendation was that the Village continua the
arrangement we now have with the Sheriff's office. For possible
emergency needs, such as providing our own patrol service, in-
cluding Civilian Defense, he recommended appropriating $2,000.00
for 1952 to be held in reserve.
Fire Pro- Andrew Hustrulid, Chairman, Fire Department Committee, submitted
tection Com- preliminary figures covering 1952 budget needs of the Fire Depart-
mittee merit amounting to X14,065.00 for maintenance and X1,509.00 for
equipment.
Streets - Tentative 1952 budge figures of $13,000.00 for Streets and
Parks & X1,500.00 for Parks and Playgrounds were also considered.
Playgrounds •
It was agreed to postpone final action on the proposed budget
until next meeting.
