REGULAR MEETING, TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 13, 1951

Meeting called to order at 7:35 P.M. and minutes of October 23, 1951,
meeting heard and approved as read.
Snow fence. Lindig reported that two rolls of snow fence had been loaned early
loaned this month to Don Nelson, of Hollywood Court.
Dry Copy of Attorney Graham's letter of Novednber 8, 1951, to Douglas
Cleaners Rees as to requesting the County Surveyor to check alley situation
and make recommendations and estimates was read and discussed.
University Attorney Graham reported further on proposed arrangements for enforc-
Farm School ing traffic regulations on the University Farm Campus and for holding
parking Justice of the Peace Court at the Village Hall once a month to hear

Road speci- In connection with streets to be accepted by the Village for maintenance;
fications Shavor moved that in order to standardize our minimum road specification
requirements in new developments, that the Planning Commission be re-
quested to pr spare and recommend a set of specifications to be used for
such purposes, including a standard for type: and spacing of boulevard
trees. Seconded by Henry and carried by a unanimous vote.

mater Matter of renewing agreement with the Farmers Union Grain Terminal
Agreement Association for flxrnishing water to the Fire Departmer~ and Village
Hall building was considered. On motion by Henry, seconded by Lindig,
it was voted to request renewal of the agreement.
Voting
Booths The clerk reported on contacts made with Minneapolis and St Louis Park
as to securing additional voting booths. After discussion, Henry moved,
seconded by Rekstad, that the clerk be authorised to purchase 15 voting
booths Prom St Louis Park as so an as available after the March, 1952
primary. Carried unanimously.
Trash Literature regarding trash cans offered by Rosenvold axd Cooper

University Avenue, St Paul, was considered. Henry moved that the
matter be referred to Trustee Lindig for checking and recommendation.
Seconded by Rekstad and so ordered.
Post Letter was read from Congressman Eugene J. McCarthy acknowledging
Office expression of thanks from the Council for his support in securing
approval of the branch post office for Falcon Heights.
Proposed The Clerk brought up the matter of making advance arrangements for
audit auditing of the books. After discussion, the clerk was directed to
secure eatimates~he cost of an audit from the Public Examiner and
from one or more private C.P.A~s.
Drainage, Commissioner Seaborn reported on a County proposal with respect to
Larpenteur; drainage north of Larpenteur, also on present status of proposed
parking, parking arrangement in Snelling and Larpenteur business area.

Holy Child- Henry Gillis, 1480 Simpson, St Paul, appeared before the Council to
hood Teen request use of the Village Hall for a recreation program for the

school students. After discussion, Rekstad moved that the Hall be
rented to said Teen Alters from 8:30 P.M. to 11:00 P.M., November 24,
1951, on the regular basis of $10.00 with the understanding that the
Kell be swept out and left in good condition. Seconded by Lindig and
carried unanimously.
Pelling Lindig moved that the polling place fo r the Village Election, December
Place 4, 1951, be at the Village Hall', 1644 West Larpenteur, Seconded by
Henry and carried.
Polls Lindig then moved that the polls be open from 3:30 P.M. to 8:00 P.M.,
Open on December 4, 1951. Henry seconded and motion carri ed.
Election On motion by Lindig, seconded by Rekstad, the following were appointed.
