CANVASSING BOARD MEETING, THURSDAY, Dec. 6, 1951

The Mayor called the meeting to order at 10:10 P.M.
The following statement was presented by the clerk as to the result
of the canvass of votes for the election of officers for the Village of Falcon
Heights at the Annual Election, December 4, 1951:
For the Office of Village Mayor:
H. L. Henry received .................... 187 votes

Lindig then moved, seconded by Rekstad, that the following candidates
be declared elected to•offiee:
4i. L. Henry was elected Village Mayor for a term of two years
George J. Shavor was elected Pillage Trustee for a term of three years
Ralph Van Hoven was elected Pillage Treasurer for a term: of two years
Kenneth J. Barthel was elected Village Constable for a term of two years
Don Nelson was elected Justice of the Peace for a term oP two years
Motion carried and said candidates declared duly elected to office.

&feeting called to order at 7:35 P.M., and minutes of regular
meeting, November 27, 1951, of .special meeting, December 6, 1951, and of
Canvassing Board meeting, December 6, 1951, were heard and approved as read.
Bills: On motion by Rekstad, seconded by Shavor, the following bills
were ordered paid:
Falcon Heights State Bank, safety deposit box rental, 1952, X65.00
Northwestern Bell Telephone Co., Mi 5050, 12-1-51, X14.40
Baden's Pure Oil Ser vice, gasoline, 11-10-51, X4.05
Improve In connection with proposed leveling of the Village lots for play-
V~il~ge ground purposes, Rekstad reported ths.t the work should be done
lots this winter or next spring, depending on estimated costs which
he expects to receive soon.
Alleys As to alley in the rear of Weber's restaurant; Attorney Graham
reported that examination of law showed that the Village cannot
lose title to .dedicated streets or alleys by adverse possession.
Vending After discussion of milk and other vending machines, Attorney
machines Graham was asked to check on vending machine ordinances.
