Lindig then moved, seconded by Rekstad, that the following candidates
be declared elected to~office:
H. L. Henry was elected Village B6ayor for a term oP two years
George J. Shavor was elected Village Trustee for a term of three years
Ralph Yan Hoven was elected Village Treasurer for a term oP two years
Kenneth J. Barthel was elected Village Constable for a term of two years
Don Nelson was elected Justice of the Peace for a term oP two years
Motion carried and said candidates declared duly elected to office.

Meeting called to order at ?:35 P.M., and minutes of regular
meeting, November 27, 1951, of .special meeting, December 6, 1951, and of
Canvassing Board meeting, December 6, 1951, were heard and. approved as read.
Bills: On motion by Rekstad, seeded by Shavor, the following bills
were ordered paid:
Falcon Heights State Bank, safety deposit box rental, 1952, X65.00
Northwestern Bell Telephone Co., Mi 5050, 12-1-51, X14.40
Baden's Pure Oil Service, gasoline, 11-10-51, X4.05
Improve In connection with proposed leveling of the Village lots for play-
V~ildge ground purposes, Rekstad reported that the work should be done
lots this winter or next sp ring, depending on estimated costs which
he expects to receive soon.
Alleys As to alley in the rear of Weber's restaurant; Attorney Graham
reported that examination of law showed that the Village cannot
lose title to dedicated streets or alleys by adverse possession.
Vending After discussion of milk and other vending machines, Attorney
machines Graham was asked to check on vending machine ordinances.

Farmers The clerk was requested to write Mr. Thatcher, expressing thanks
Union of the Council for invitations to the Annual Banquet of the
Grain Farmers Union Grain Terminal Association, held the evening of
Terminal December 11, 1951.

Leonard Mr. R. Keller, of Keller Corporation, ~~d Mrs. Leonard Peterson
Peterson appeared before the Council in behalf/r'~quest of Leonard Peterson,
balding 2083 N. Lexington, for a building permit to erect a dwelling at
permit 1590 Snelling, between Hoyt and Idaho, on the S 34 ft., Lot 6,
N 41 ft. Lot 7, Block 9, Northome 2nd Addition. Due to the lot
being low and because building on it wou ld interfere with natural
drainage, it was stated that the requested building permit could
not be issued at this time.
Village After discussion, Henry moved that printing required by any village
printing officer or department be approved by the Council and purchased thru
the villa gge clerk, and that the clerk so notify al l c aricerned. Seconded
by Rekstad and carried unanimously.
Falcon Dry The Falcon Dry Cleaners situation was discussed and the need of
Cleaners having an ordinance for correcting conditions complained toP,
was referred to Attorney Graham.
Christmas Application of R. S. Norrgard, 1288 West Garden, St Paul, to
tree. lot operate a Christmas tree lot at the S.E. corner of Larpenteur
and Snelling for the period ending December 24, 1951, was
approved on motion by Rekstad, seconded by henry.
State Regarding State Firemen's Training School, to be held at St Paul
Firemen's Campus, April 28, 29 and 30, and May 1 and 2, 1952; Shavor moved,
Training seconded by Henry, that the matter be referred to the Fire Depart-
School meet committee for their recommendation. Carried unanimously.
