Nicholas G. proprietor of 1~leber's restaurant, said he was in favor of
Weber locating the proposed building in line with his restaurant.
C. K. Otis, Secretary, Falcon Heights Planning Commission, was asked to
Penning ~ report on his committee's recommendation. Otis said the
Commission committee considers Webers a blind and dangerous co rner. IP
we allowed new buildings to come out to the Weber's line, he
said, that would set a permanent building line for future
buildings in the block from Crawford to Larpenteur. Mr. Otis
said the recommendation of the Planning Commission was to abide
by the Village coning code. Otis also said we have no assurance
that the parking area 3ust west of the National Tea will always
be a parking area.

1775 N. Pascal said if there was an accident hazard at the corner that he
didn't think it would be affected by thw proposed setback.
Hearing closed. No one else wishing to be heard, the Mayor declared the hearing
closed with the statement that the Council would take the matter
under advisement and that the Clerk will notify interested
parties of the Counoil's decision, possibly over the week end.

Meeting called to order at 7:30 P.M. for the purpose of
considering further the Rees' petition for establishment of a building line
within the block from Crawford Street to Larpenteur Avenue on the east side
of Snelling Avenue.
David Locks, Community Planning consultant, was present
at request of the Council to provide technical assistance. He conferred with
the Council and examined all of the maps and plats pertaining to the area, and
then viewed the site.

recommendation of Adr. Locks and the Falcon Heights Planning Commission,
Henry moved that the petition of Faloon Development Corporation, Douglas
Rees, Agnes Heber and Nicholas G. Weber, dated November 30, 1951 ,. for the
establishmea~t of a building line within the block from Crawfo rd Street to
Larpenteur Avenue on the east side of Snelling Avenue, be and hereby is
denied. Seconded by Lindig and the following vote recorded:

The Mayor then declared the motion carried and said
petition denied.
The Council requested the Mayor to contact the Planning
Commission and Village Attorney with respect to drawing up a proposed ordinance
covering setback requirements on commercial structures at all intersections.
On motion, the meeting ad3ourned at 9:30 P.M.

Meeting called to order at 7:40 P.M. and reading of mdtnutes ordered
~dinnesota R. V. Juetten, Assistant Secretary, Minnesota Safety
Safety Council, appeared before the Council in connection with
Council a traffic safety contest sponsored by the ~dinnesota
Safety Council among cities and villages of 2,500 popu-
lation or more. Bdr. W. Y. Chenoweth, Traffic Signal
Supervisor, Ramsey County Surveyor's department, and Paul
Neid, Ramsey County Deputy Sheriff, assisted in providing
information desir ed by Mr. Juetten with respect to Falcon
Heights .
