Health The clerk read a letter from the Minnesota Department of Health,
dated ~iday 2, 1952, requesting information on the medical health
officer of the Village. Shavor moved that the communication be
noted and filed. Seconded by Henry and so ordered.

' meeting called to order at 7:00 P.M., the Mayor stating that the
purpose of the a wing was to take under advisement the information developed at
the hearing of D~~y 13, 1952, on proposed installation of eurbin g on Larpenteur Avenue
from Snelling Avenue to Arona Avenue, and to hear the report of Trustee Lindig and
Street Commissioner Seaborn on contacting the County and State engineers as instructed,
with reference to proposal presented by blr. Rees that curbing in said area be installed
so as to provide fora 46-foot instead of a 60-foot paved roadway.
Lindig- Lindig and Seaborn reported they met today with a number of County
Seaborn Engineer representatives, including A.D. Crampton, Principal
report Assistant Engineer; ~. 0. Chenoweth, Traffic Signal Supervisor;
John Kruse, Superintendent; Knute Anker, Assistant Engineer and
Emil Baudette, Foreman; also that they conferred with Mr. Costello,
Assistant Stat® Safety Engineer, who advised them that State
Safety Engineer Darrell was out of town.
It was rurther reported by Lindig and,Seaborn that the County
Engineers stated the County +~ould not consider the highway improve-
ment unless//a 60-foot width is provided for in accordance with
Plan ]3c.3S/75, approved by County Surveyor Harry S. Bronson under
date of March, 1952.

Resolution After full discussion, the following resolution on motion by
Rekstad, seconded by Lindig, was adopted by a unanimous vote:
RESOLUTION APPOINTING ENGINEER, ORD ~3ING IMPROVEMENT AND
PREPARATION OF PLANS
WHEREAS, a resolution of the Village Council adopted the 15th day
of April, 1952, fixed May 13, 1952, at 8:00 P.iui., in the Village
Hall, 1644 West Larpenteur, as the time and place for a hearing on
proposed installation of curbing on Larpenteur Avenue from Snelling
Avenue to Arona Avenue;
WHEP.EAS, all property owners whose property is liable to be assessed
for the making of this impro vement were given two-weeks' published
notice of the council hearing, and the hearing was held and the
property owners heard thereon on the 13th day of May, 1952;
NOi~7 THE'_?EFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF
FALCON HEIGHTS:
1. That the curbing improvement as recommended by the county
Surveyor is hereby ordered.
2. That the County Surveyor is hereby designated as the engineer
for the Village of Falcon Heights to prepare plans and specifications
for said curbing improvement, said plans and specifications to be
submitted to the Village Attorney for checking.

Village In discussing proposed Villa ge entrance signs today with Mr. C.J.
signs Lessard, the Mayor reported that Mr. Lessard urged immediate
ordering of the signs as per specifications and costs received
from the County Engineer under date of April 22, 1952, and that
he (Lessard) personally agreed to bear half the expense.
