Mayor Stenzinger called the meeting to order at 7:lt0 P,t4,, with roll call recording
all council members present as follows: Robert ~. Stenzinger, P,4ayor; George J.
Shavor, Trustee; Andrew Hustrulid, Trustee; David P. Cartwright, Trustee; Clyde J.
Stewart, Clerk. Also present, Y~illiam E. Olsen, Treasurer, and Frank N. Graham,
Attorney.
Farmers Union Attorney Graham reported that this was a special meeting of the
Grain Terminal council called to consider the petitions of the Farmers Union
Assn. Rezoning Grain Terminal Association, dated P~Iay 3, 1954, and 1~?ay 12, 195,
Request requesting that the following described property be rezoned
from "Farm Residence District" to "Business District" for auto-
mobile parking purposes only, under Sec. 12(e) of Zoning Ordinance
No. 8:
Property The Southerly 217 feet of the East 250 feet of the
-- North 500 feet of the Northwest 1/4 of the Northeast 1/!t
of the Northeast 1/4 of Section 21, Township 29, Range
23, West of the Fourth Principal r~teridian according to
the United States Government survey thereof and the plats
on file in the office of the Register of Deeds, Ramsey
County, Minnesota.
Petitions Attorney Graham stated that he had checked the petitions
checked and had reported to the Clerk they were properly signed by
more than 50 per cent by number of the property owners with-
in 500 feet of the property sought to be rezoned. The council,
at its May 26, 1954 meeting, had set a hearing on said petitions
for Tuesday, June 8, 1954, at 7:30 P. M., at the Village Hall,
and notice of the public hearing had been duly posted by the
Clerk on May 27, 1954, as shown by his affidavit on file.
Rezoning
approved The Mayor then called for discussion on the petitions. No one
appeared in opposition thereto. After some discussion of the
purpose of rezoning the property, Stenzinger moved that the
rezoning request of the Farmers Union Grain Terminal Association
be approved. Cartwright seconded and motion carried unanimously.
ORDINANCE IvT0.29 Stenzinger read and moved adoption of Ordinance No. 29, "AN
ORDINANCE At~4~ENDING 1EE ZONIPJG MAP WFICH IS A PART OF ORDINANCE
N0. 8." The :ration was seconded by Cartwright, and after
discussion, the following vote was taken and recorded:

Nays: None
Thereupon, r.4ayor Stenzinger declared Ordinance Nqr 29 duly adopted
and ordered publication of same,
