Members present: Mayor Gehrz, Council members Harris, Kuettel, and Lindstrom, Finance Director Olson, and Administrator Miller.
Mayor Gehrz called the workshop to order at 6:30 p.m.
1. Discussion of Falcon Heights Assessment Policy - Continued
The City Council continued discussing potential changes to the city’s assessment policy. Discussion began with the topic of corner lots and whether to change the policy from assessing
the short side of the lot to either the address side or long side. Merits of each approach were discussed, and staff agreed to bring back examples of each option. Discussion then led
to the topics of how to assess for alleys, sewers, sidewalks and streetlights. Various options were discussed on each topic, and staff will bring back to the council a draft policy
at a later date.
The workshop was adjourned at 8:10 p.m.
