Parks and Public Works Director Hoag. Members absent: Council member Kuettel. Others present: Bryon Olson, 1592 Roselawn. Mayor Gehrz called the workshop to order at 6:30 p.m. Council
member Lindstrom gave a brief report on the food drive pick-up held Saturday the 1st of April. He stated the Lions picked up about 1,500 pounds of food, and cash donations totaling over
$150. 1. Recodification Update Administrator Worthington began by stating the recodificiation process is on track, and the City is expecting to see the draft code by the end of April.
Planning commission should be ale to review it in May. She summed up by stating the City should have a working code by December 2006, with complete amendments and final copy by mid-2007.
The code will be searchable online, hosted by Municipal Code. The company will also provide ?provide quarterly updates after adoption. A brief discussion on the searchable online code
function of the Municipal Code website commenced. 2. Street Sign/Corner Marker Presentation Parks and Public Works Director Hoag presented examples of the sign options the City has,
along with the 3 types of reflective bases that can be used. The council discussed and viewed the samples. They liked the diamond-type reflective by 3M, and the placement of the City
logo on the signs. Parks and Public Works Director Hoag will obtain proposals on three options the City Council wanted to explore further: 1) numbered street signs, displaying the block
number and suffix; 2) non-numbered signs, with only the suffix (ie: St, Dr, Blvd, etc.); and 3) numbered signs for arterial streets only. Hoag also reported the non-numbered signs would
be able to be held in inventory, in the event of a needed replacement. The numbered signs would all be special-order. 3. The Council briefly discussed Administrator Worthington’s farewell
gathering, to be held May 12, 2006 from 4-6 p.m. at City Hall. Mayor Gehrz adjourned the workshop at 7:30 p.m.
