RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BIDS FOR THE LARPENTEUR AVENUE STREETSCAPE
IMPROVEMENTS (LANDSCAPING AND ELECTRICAL)
WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for streetscape improvements
for Larpenteur Avenue, bids were received, opened, and tabulated according to law,
and the following bids were received complying with the advertisement:
Bid Package A, Schedule A-1 -Landscaping of streets and hedgerows
North Metro Landscaping - $163,088.60
Hoffman and McNamara - 5198,873.88
Arteka Corporation - 5221,549.40
Minnesota Valley Landscape - 5224,733.00

Bid Package B, Schedule B -Electrical
Killmer Electric - 5381,156.40
Arcade Electric Company - 5467,817.00
AND WHEREAS, it appears that North Metro Landscaping and Killmer Electric
are the lowest responsible bidders for Bid Package A, Schedule A-1 and Bid Package
B, Schedule B, respectively.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF FALCON
HEIGHTS, MINNESOTA:
1. The mayor and clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract
in the name of the City of Falcon Heights with North Metro Landscaping for the
landscaping of streets and hedgerows on Larpenteur Avenue, according to the
plans and specifications therefore approved by the city council and on file in
the office of the city clerk.
2. The mayor and clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract
in the name of the City of Falcon Heights with Killmer Electric for electrical
work on Larpenteur Avenue, according to the plans and specifications,
• including change orders, therefore approved by the city council and on file in
the office of the city clerk.

3. The city clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all
bidders the deposits made with their bids, except the deposits of the
successful bidders and the next lowest bidders for each project shall be
retained until contracts have been signed.
Adopted by the council this 28th day of May, 1997.
