COUNCIL RESOLUTION

RESOLUTION SUPPORTING THE MIDDLE MISSISSIPPI RIVER WATERSHED
MANAGEMENT ORGANIZATION (MMRWMO) APPLICATION FOR FUNDS FOR THE
LAUDERDALE RAVINE RESTORATION PROJECT
WHEREAS, the City of Falcon Heights, the City of Lauderdale and the University
of Minnesota are members of the Middle Mississippi River Watershed Management
Organization; and
WHEREAS, the City of Falcon Heights is working through the MMRWMO to
improve water quality in the area; and
WHEREAS, the City of Falcon Heights is participating in the proposed
Lauderdale ravine project because of its water quality and drainage benefits to the
community;
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City of Falcon Heights support the
MMRWMO application to the Board of Soil and Water Conservation (BWSR) for the
wetland replacement program to fund the proposed project.
