COUNCIL RESOLUTION
Date: June 25, 1997
RESOLUTION AWARDING BIDS FOR THE LARPENTEUR AVENUE STREETSCAPE
IMPROVEMENTS (SIGNS)
WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for streetscape improvements for
Larpenteur Avenue, bids were received, opened, and tabulated according to law, and the
following bids were received complying with the advertisement:
Bid Package C, Schedule C-1 -Signs
Jay Brothers Construction - $305,409
Lakeland - $363,247
Thomas and Sons - $366,760
Eliminate Bid Package C, Schedule C-2
• AND WHEREAS, it appears that Jay Brothers Construction is the lowest responsible
bidder for bid package C-1.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF FALCON HEIGHTS,
MINNESOTA:
The mayor, clerk, and city administrator are hereby authorized and directed to enter
into a contract in the name of the City of Falcon Heights with Jay Brothers
Construction for the signs on Larpenteur Avenue, according to the plans and
specifications therefore approved by the city council and on file in the office of the city
clerk.
2. The city clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the
deposits made with their bids, except the deposits of the successful bidder and the
next lowest bidder shall be retained until contracts have been signed.
Adopted by the council this 25th day of June, 1997.
