COUNCIL RESOLUTION
Date: June 25. 1997
ARESOLUTION DECLARING COST TO BE ASSESSED AND ORDERING PREPARATION
OF PROPOSED ASSESSMENT
WHEREAS, a contract has been let (costs have been determined) for the Ramsey
County improvement of Laprenteur Avenue between Malvern Street and Cleveland Avenue
and the total cost of the improvement is 53,518,393.00 including expenses incurred; and
WHEREAS, the cost of street reconstruction in Falcon Heights for the portion of the
project between Fulham Street and Cleveland Avenue is 52,183,162.80.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
FALCON HEIGHTS, MINNESOTA:
1. The portion of the cost of such improvement to be paid by the city is hereby
declared to be 5140,471.00 and the portion of the cost to be assessed against
benefitted property owners is declared to be 523,809.14.
2. The city clerk, with the assistance of the consulting city engineer, shall forthwith
calculate the proper amount to be specially assessed for such improvement against
every assessable lot, piece, or parcel of land within the district affected, without
regard to cash valuation, as provided by law, and shall file a copy of such proposed
assessment in the City office for public inspection.
3. The clerk shall upon completion of such proposed assessment, notify the council
thereof.
