RESOLUTION ORDERING PREPARATION OF REPORT ON IMPROVEMENT AND
CALLING HEARING ON IMPROVEMENT
WHEREAS, it is proposed to improve Larpenteur Avenue between Cleveland
Avenue and St. Mary's Street and to assess the benefitted property for all or a portion of
the cost of the improvement, pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 429.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE FALCON
HEIGHTS, MINNESOTA:
1. That the proposed improvement be referred to Howard R. Green Consulting
Engineers for study and that the city engineer is instructed to report to the council
with all convenient speed advising the council in a preliminary way as to whether
the proposed improvement is feasible; and
2. If the project is considered to be feasible, the council will consider the improvement
of such street in accordance with the report and the assessment of abutting
property for all or a portion of the cost of the improvement pursuant to Minnesota
Statutes Chapter 429 at an estimated total cost of 53,000,000.00.
3. A public hearing shall be held on such proposed improvement on the 27th day of
August, 1997, in the council chambers of the city hall at 7:10 p.m. and the clerk
shall give mailed and published notice of such hearing and improvement as required
by law.
