COUNCIL RESOLUTION

RESOLUTION PROCLAIMING THE 40TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE
LEAGUE OF WOMEN VOTERS
OF ROSEVILLE, MAPLEWOOD AND FALCON HEIGHTS
WHEREAS, the League of Women Voters of Roseville, Maplewood and Falcon
Heights was founded in 1954 and is now celebrating its 40th anniversary, and
WHEREAS, the League has helped shape the development of the City of Falcon
Heights by contributing to its original master plan, and
WHEREAS, the League has worked to improve city services such as recreational
• programs, rescue services and open government, and
WHEREAS, the League has improved citizen participation in local government
by conducting candidate forums and helping the city develop an open appointment
process, and
WHEREAS, the League continues to be a forum for constructive ideas to guide
the future of the City of Falcon Heights,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Falcon Heights city council, on
behalf of the citizens of Falcon Heights, recognizes the contribution of the Roseville,
Maplewood and Falcon Heights League of Women Voters and salutes its membership
on the occasion of the 40th year of service to the city.
