C O II N C I L R E S O L II T I O N

A RESOLUTION PROCLAIMING THE WEEK OF MARCH 1-8, 1992
AS VOLUNTEERS OF AMERICA WEEK IN THE CITY OF FALCON HEIGHTS, MN.
WHEREAS, Volunteers of America is one of Minnesota's and
the nation's largest service organizations, and
WHEREAS, now, as in the past, the Volunteers of America's
programs are designed to respond to the concerns of individual communities,
and take a holistic approach to human care, and
WHEREAS, Volunteers of America's continuing mission is to
develop new and creative ways to solve problems and meet community needs
for all people in need, regardless of race, creed or color, and
WHEREAS, in Minnesota, the Volunteers of America provides
services for children and youth, adults and the elderly, offenders and
ex-offenders, and the community at large;
BE IT THEREFORE RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of
Falcon Heights, that the week of March 1-8, 1992, be proclaimed
"Volunteers of America Week" in Falcon Heights.
