C O U N C I L R E S O L U T I O N
Date: Feb. 12, 1992
A RESOLUTION URGING THE STATE LEGISLATURE TO DESIGNATE A
LOCAL GOVERNMENT TRUST FUND EXCLUSIVELY FOR CITY,
COUNTY, TOWNSHIP PROPERTY TAX RELIEF
WHEREAS, the city council of the City of Falcon Heights
adopted Resolution R-91-39 on June 19, 1991, and
WHEREAS, said resolution urged the Ramsey County Board of
Commissioners to adopt a 1/2 percent local option sales tax which
would maintain aids to the county and the cities and townships within
the county, and
WHEREAS, the Ramsey County Board of Commissioners did adopt
the 1/2 percent local option sales tax with resulting funds to be used
as designated above;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Falcon Heights city
council urges the Minnesota State Legislature to designate a local
government trust fund exclusively for city, county, township property tax
relief for 1992 and following years.
