Date: Feb. 12, 1992
REQUEST FOR CDBG FUNDS FOR BLIGHT ELIMINATION
WHEREAS, 2061 W. Larpenteur is a substandard and delapidated
dwelling as determined by the city building official and fire marshal, and
WHEREAS, 2061 W. Larpenteur is a non-conforming use in a
B-lA zone, and
WHEREAS, there is little available land for development in the
city and it is important to control the land for future expense and/or
community use, and
WHEREAS, the removal of blight from the city will enhance the
business area adjacent to the city's largest non-institutional employer and
community center, and
WHEREAS, the elimination of blight and substandard housing will
benefit the entire community;

THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the city council of Falcon Heights
approve the submission of a 1992 Community Development Block Grant
application for the acquisition, clearance of property and relocation of
residents at 2061 W. Larpenteur Avenue.
