C O U N C I L R E S O L U T I O N
Date: Aug. 26, 1992
A RESOLUTION APPROVING SPECIAL LAW RELATING TO
FALCON HEIGHTS VOLUNTEER FIREFIGHTERS RELIEF ASSOCIATION,
AUTHORIZING FULL VESTING WITH FIVE YEARS OF SERVICE
WHEREAS, the Falcon Heights Volunteer Firefighters Relief
Association requested that special legislation be submitted to change the
vesting policy in the association's defined contribution plan to allow full
vesting at five years of service; and
WHEREAS, the Falcon Heights city council at their February 12,
1992 council meeting agreed to pursue the special legislation; and
WHEREAS, the proposed legislation was submitted to the legis-
lature for consideration; and
WHEREAS, the bill was duly passed; and
WHEREAS, the bylaws of the Firefighters Relief Association
have been amended in accordance with Chapter 372; and
WHEREAS, the city council of the City of Falcon Heights does
desire that Chapter 372 become law;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the city council of the City
of Falcon Heights that Chapter 372 be approved and that a Certificate of
Approval be filed with the office of the Secretary of State, State of
Minnesota, in order that Chapter 372 may become law.
