A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF FALCON HEIGHTS
A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE
TURNBACK OF A PORTION OF THE T.H. 51
RIGHT-OF WAY

WHEREAS: the Minnesota Department of Transportation has indicated a desire to turn back
a portion of the T.H. 51 right-of--way; and
WHEREAS: a portion of the turned back right-of--way is to be used for a landscaping and entry
improvement, akeady permitted by MnDOT, at the- Amoco Station located at
Snelling and Larpenteur Avenue; and
WHEREAS: it is MnDOT's policy to not turn back right-of--way between November 1, and
April 1, so as not to cause a maintenance hardship;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of Falcon Heights, Minnesota:
1. The City Council hereby requests the turnback of the right-of--way on the west side of
T.H. 51 between Larpenteur Avenue and Roselawn Avenue as expeditiously as possible
without regard to time of year.
2. The City of Falcon Heights is prepared to take over all maintenance issues on any turned
back portion of T.H. 51 right-of--way.
