A RESOLUTION RELATING TO THE APPLICATION FOR A
RECYCLING EXPANSION GRANT
WHEREAS, the use of bins has proven to increase participation in a
recycling program, and
WHEREAS, this will lead to the reduction of recyclables in the
waste stream.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Falcon Heights City Council
that the City apply to Ramsey County for a recycling expansion grant
pursuant to the SCORE legislation of 1989.
BE IT ALSO RESOLVED that these funds be designated for the purchase
of bins for residential use (single family and multi-unit), to develop
public education materials and cover costs of administering the program.
