HomeMy WebLinkAboutCCRes_91-26• RESOLUTION 91-25 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF FALCON HEIGHTS RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID IN THE MATTER OF 1991 STREET IMPROVEMENTS WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the improvement of Albert Street from Larpenteur Avenue to Garden Avenue; Arona Street from Crawford Avenue to Roselawn Avenue; Fry Street, St. Mary's Street, Maple Knoll Drive, Garden Avenue from Fry Street to Snelling Avenue Frontage Road; (hereinafter referred to as the 1991 Street Improvements), by the City of Falcon Heights, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law, and the following bids were received complying with the advertisement: Valley Paving, Inc. $656,997.45 F.M. Frattalone Excavating & Grading,Inc 669,843.05 Brown & Cris, Inc. 676,498.95 Ashbach Construction Company 678,935.63 Midwest Asphalt Corporation 690,669.60 Alexander Construction Company, Inc. 729,650.77 Carl Bolander & Sons Company 756,392.50 • Shafer Contracting Company, Inc. 790,985.95 AND WHEREAS, it appears that Valley Paving, Inc. of Shakopee, Minnesota is the lowest responsible bidder; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Falcon Heights, Minnesota: 1. The Mayor and City Administrator are authorized and directed to execute, on behalf of the City, such contract with Valley Paving, Inc. of Shakopee, Minnesota in the name of the City of Falcon Heights for the 1991 Street Improvements according to the approved plans and specifications therefore approved by the City Council and on file in the office of the City Clerk. 2. The City Administrator is authorized and directed to forthwith return to all bidders the deposits made with their bids, except the deposits of the successful bidder and the next lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed.
