A RESOLUTION RELATING TO REQUESTING A COMMUNITY BLOCK GRANT
TO PROVIDE EARLY WARNING SMOKE DETECTORS FOR LOW AND MODERATE
INCOME HOUSEHOLDS
WHEREAS., the City of Falcon Heights desires to assist moderate and low
income households by placing smoke detectors in such homes, and,
WHEREAS, Ramsey County has grant funds available and will accept
applications from communities within the County and,
WHEREAS, the Falcon Heights Fire Department is willing to install the
• detectors free of charge,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that Ramsey County is hereby requested
to consider granting of Community Development Block Grant funds for
the purchase of one hundred smoke detectors.
